Today, on December 14, an explosion occurred in Dnipro. It appears that a car was detonated.
This information is reported by RBK-Ukraine citing Telegram "Suspilne Dnipro," local media, and the website of the National Police.
"In Dnipro, at the intersection of Stepan Bandera and Lesya Ukrainka streets, an explosion occurred, according to preliminary information," the message states.
Meanwhile, one local channel reports that a car was blown up.
Currently, police and medical personnel are on the scene.
The National Police of Ukraine confirmed that an explosion occurred in one of the central areas of Dnipro. However, it is not yet reported whether a car was detonated.
"As a result of the explosion, preliminary information indicates that one person has died, and there are injuries, including two police officers. The injured have been taken to the hospital," the message states.
Law enforcement officials also clarified that the incident took place on December 14 around 14:45. As of now, a forensic investigative team, explosives experts, a criminalistics laboratory, and all relevant services are working at the scene.
"The circumstances of the explosion are being established, after which a legal qualification of the event will be provided," the National Police added.

Recall that at the end of October 2024, a car was blown up belonging to the head of combat training of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Kramatorsk, Donetsk region. The man was hospitalized in serious condition.
According to sources from RBK-Ukraine, unidentified individuals placed an explosive device under the official Mercedes-Benz ML vehicle. The explosive went off as the car began to move.
