This information was reported by RBK-Ukraine, citing the head of the Cherkasy Regional Military Administration Igor Taburts.

The official mentioned that the critical infrastructure of the Cherkasy region was targeted by the Russians.

He also noted that the consequences of the drone strike are currently being assessed.

"Currently, part of the subscribers are without power, particularly in the regional center. All services are operational," the OVA head communicated.

The administration leader added that more information regarding the aftermath of the "Shaheds" attack will be released later.

It is worth mentioning that last night, local Cherkasy communities reported hearing explosions around 01:15 and later. At that time, enemy strike drones were detected over the region.

Night Attack of the "Shaheds"

Recall that on the evening of January 24, the launch of several groups of kamikaze drones by Russian invaders towards Ukraine was recorded for yet another aerial assault. In a number of regions, alerts were issued due to the threat of "Shahed" strikes.

It was also reported that during the night of January 25, explosions were heard in Kyiv amid the enemy drone attack.

Later, it became known that due to the "Shahed" attack, two districts in the Kyiv region experienced damage to a residential multi-storey building, and a fire broke out at a manufacturing facility. Fortunately, there were no casualties.
