An explosion occurred near a government facility in Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi. Here’s what we know about the incident.

On Thursday, January 9, an explosion occurred near one of the government institutions in Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi, Odesa region. Law enforcement is investigating the circumstances of the incident.

This was reported by RBK-Ukraine referencing the press service of the Main Directorate of the National Police in Odesa region.

According to police, the incident took place around 2:00 PM near a government facility. Fortunately, no one was injured as a result of the explosion.

Employees of the National Police, Security Service of Ukraine, and the State Emergency Service are currently on the scene.

Investigations into the circumstances of the explosion are underway.

It is worth noting that earlier local Telegram channels reported an explosion near the building of the Military Law Enforcement Service.

Recall that in December, an explosion occurred near the building of the TCK in Dnipro. A military personnel was killed in the blast, and two law enforcement officers were injured.

Within a few hours after the terrorist act, law enforcement apprehended the direct perpetrator of the crime - a 37-year-old local resident who had been working for Russian special services. He has been detained and is currently in custody.
