Now, all individuals with this status are required to undergo a re-medical examination as part of the VLC by February 5, 2025.
This was announced by Alexander Bodin, head of the military accounting department of the Rovno Territorial Center for Recruitment and Social Support.
He added that the cancellation of the "limited fitness" status is necessary to ensure accurate medical assessments for each conscript. According to the new legislation, all individuals who previously held this status must undergo a re-examination to confirm their fitness for service or to receive one of the relevant statuses.
Specifically, there are three main categories possible: "fit for military service," indicating readiness to serve in any position within the Armed Forces of Ukraine; "temporarily unfit," requiring treatment or leave; and "unfit," subject to review in 6–12 months or removal from military records. Alexander Bodin also noted that there is currently another category of conscripts in Ukraine - "fit for service in support units, TSP, and higher military educational institutions."
Additionally, it was recently reported by the Armed Forces of Ukraine about the establishment of a hotline for mobilization and accounting of conscripts. Complaints regarding the operation of the TCK can be submitted there.
