Ukraine faces a large-scale assault from Russian "Shaheds": areas at risk of strikes.

On the evening of Monday, February 24, the Russian Federation launched strike drones of the "Shahed" type towards Ukraine. Air raid alerts were issued in several regions.

On the evening of Monday, February 24, the Russian Federation launched strike drones of the "Shahed" type towards Ukraine. Air raid alerts were declared in several regions.

This was reported by RBK-Ukraine citing the Air Forces and the Air Raid Alert Map.

According to the Air Forces, the Russian army launched several groups of drones from different directions.

The first drones were moving from the Black Sea and the northern border of Ukraine. Enemy drones were also spotted at the border of the Kharkiv and Donetsk regions.

Additionally, at 22:16, an air raid alert was declared in Kyiv. The city’s mayor, Vitali Klitschko reported, that air defense forces were engaged with enemy drones.

As of 21:45, enemy drones were observed;

  • in Dnipropetrovsk region heading southeast;
  • in Poltava region heading southwest;
  • in Sumy region heading west;
  • in Chernihiv region heading west.

As of 23:08, Russian UAVs were moving:

  • in Dnipropetrovsk region heading northwest;
  • in Kharkiv region heading east;
  • in Poltava and Cherkasy regions heading southwest;
  • in Sumy and Chernihiv regions heading west;
  • in Kyiv region heading towards Zhytomyr region.

According to monitoring channels, as of 23:38, approximately 45 Russian "Shaheds" were in Ukraine's airspace. Most of them were approaching Kyiv.

As of 23:54, Russian "Shaheds" were moving:

  • in Mykolaiv region heading west;
  • in Dnipropetrovsk region heading both west and east;
  • in Kirovohrad and Cherkasy regions heading south;
  • in Poltava and Cherkasy regions heading southwest;
  • in Sumy and Chernihiv regions heading west;
  • in Kyiv region heading southwest. Drones were in the vicinity of the capital.

As of 1:00, enemy drones were moving:

  • in Mykolaiv region heading west;
  • in Dnipropetrovsk and Zaporizhzhia regions heading northwest;
  • in Kirovohrad region heading north;
  • in Sumy and Chernihiv regions heading west and north;
  • in Kyiv and Zhytomyr regions heading west and north.

At 1:32, the military reported the cancellation of the air raid alert in the city of Kyiv.

Meanwhile, monitoring channels reported the departure of a group of strategic bombers Tu-95MS from the Olenya airfield in the Murmansk region.

If the flight is combat-related, missile launches are expected approximately between 04:00 - 05:00, with entry into Ukraine's airspace around 05:00 - 06:00.

As of 1:38, Russian UAVs were moving in Kherson region heading northwest, as well as in Donetsk region heading towards Kharkiv region.

As of 2:15, Russian "Shaheds" were moving:

  • in Kharkiv region heading southwest;
  • in Kherson region heading northwest;
  • in Mykolaiv and Kirovohrad regions heading west;
  • in Dnipropetrovsk and Poltava regions heading northwest;
  • in Donetsk and Kharkiv regions heading west;
  • in Chernihiv region heading west.

According to monitoring channels, as of now, at least 4 Tu-95MS aircraft are in the air.

  • Near the Engels airfield, Tu-95MS will be present around 04:20 - 04:50. In this case, missiles will enter Ukraine's airspace between 04:50 and 05:20;
  • In the Caspian Sea area, the aircraft may be present from 05:20 to 06:20. Then missiles will enter Ukraine's airspace between 06:00 and 07:00.

As of 3:32, enemy UAVs were moving:

  • in Kharkiv region heading northeast;
  • in Mykolaiv and Kirovohrad regions heading northwest;
  • in Poltava region heading west;
  • in Sumy region heading northwest;
  • in Chernihiv region heading west towards Kyiv region;
  • along the border of Kyiv and Zhytomyr regions heading west.

At 4:05, an air raid alert was declared in Kyiv due to the approach of "Shaheds" from the direction of Vasylkiv.

As of 4:38, Russian drones were moving:

  • in Cherkasy region heading northwest;
  • in Zhytomyr region heading west. "Shahed" was in the vicinity of Zhytomyr.

At 4:51, monitoring channels reported missile launches of X-101/555 from strategic bombers Tu-95MS.

Near the borders of Ukraine, missiles are expected around 05:20 - 06:10.

At 5:13, monitoring channels warned of missile danger due to launches of X-101/555 missiles by strategic aviation (Tu-95MS).

As of 5:32, Russian strike drones were moving:

  • in Sumy region heading southwest;
  • in Chernihiv region heading towards Kyiv region;
  • In central Kyiv region heading northwest;
  • in Zhytomyr region heading west and east;
  • in northern Vinnytsia region heading west.

As of 6:37, enemy kamikaze drones were moving:

  • in Sumy, Kharkiv, and Chernihiv regions heading southwest;
  • in Zhytomyr region heading south.

Shelling of Ukraine by Russia

Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, Russia has regularly struck at Ukraine's infrastructure. For the shelling, terrorists use various types of missiles, guided aerial bombs (GABs), drones, and artillery.

The enemy resorts to drone attacks almost every night. In particular, on the night of February 23, the Russians launched a record number of drones at Ukraine.
