On Saturday, February 1, Russians struck the building of a boarding school in Sudzha, Kursk region. It is now known that at least 4 people have died.
This is reported by RBK-Ukraine citing Telegram from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
"Sudzha. As of 10:00 PM, efforts to clear the rubble and assist the affected civilian population are ongoing," the message states.
The General Staff informed that military personnel from the military command are still working at the site within the territory of the Russian Federation.
During the rubble-clearing operations, 84 civilians were rescued and received medical assistance, with their health condition being satisfactory. Another 4 are in serious condition, and 4 people have died.
"All those in need of additional medical assistance are being promptly evacuated to medical facilities in Ukraine," the General Staff added.
We remind you that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky reacted to the strike by Russian troops on the boarding school in Sudzha. He emphasized that Russia always fights against the civilian population.
"Russia has been waging war against civilians decades ago in Chechnya. They killed Syrians in the same way. Russian bombs are destroying Ukrainian homes. Even against their own citizens, the Russian army employs similar tactics," he stated.
