"Циничный расчет": Подоляк раскрыл причину российских атак на газовую инфраструктуру Украины.

It is no secret to Ukraine that the Russian Federation is constantly attempting to attack critical infrastructure.

This was stated in a comment to the YouTube channel RBC-Ukraine by Mykhailo Podolyak, an advisor to the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine.

According to him, during the morning shelling, Russia aimed to inflict maximum damage on gas storage facilities and gas transportation systems in western Ukraine.

"You are absolutely right, Russia is generally attacking critical infrastructure, this is not a secret for us, but yes, it wants to inflict maximum damage on gas storage facilities and gas transportation systems in the western regions of Ukraine. This is a cynical calculation to show that you have halted transit, and we have retaliated," Podolyak stated.

Shelling of Ukraine on January 15

This morning, the Russian army again attempted to shell Ukraine's critical infrastructure. Reports indicated threats from missiles and drones.

It is known that Russia launched 43 missiles and 74 drones at Ukraine last night. Air defense forces destroyed 30 missiles and 47 drones, while an additional 27 unmanned aerial vehicles did not reach their targets. The gas infrastructure in Kharkiv, Lviv, and Ivano-Frankivsk regions was under attack.

We also reported that despite the shelling, gas supplies for people are uninterrupted. In particular, "Naftogaz" noted that all of the company's enterprises are operating as usual.
