January became one of the bloodiest months for the Russian army, with the Ministry of Defense reporting significant losses among Russian troops.

In the first month of 2025, the intensity of combat operations at the front remained high. In January, there were 5,087 recorded clashes.

In January of this year, the Russian army suffered significant irretrievable and sanitary losses among personnel - 48,240 military personnel. This figure represents the strength of more than three motorized rifle divisions of the Russian army. Throughout the entire period of the large-scale invasion, the only month with higher losses for the Russians was December 2024, with 48,670 military personnel.

Ukrainian warriors destroyed 230 enemy tanks in January. Given that a tank battalion consists of 31 vehicles, the enemy has effectively lost nearly 7 tank battalions, either destroyed or damaged.

In addition, 573 enemy armored combat vehicles were either destroyed or damaged. This number is roughly equivalent to the number of armored vehicles in almost three motorized rifle divisions.

In January, Ukrainian forces targeted 963 units of artillery belonging to the Russian army. Each artillery division of the occupiers has 18 artillery systems. Thus, our warriors destroyed 50 artillery divisions in the first month of the year.

"The intensity of combat operations at the front in the first month of 2025 remained high. In January, there were 5,087 clashes recorded. The enemy's tactical aviation dropped more than 2,400 guided aerial bombs on the positions of our defenders and frontline cities," the message stated.

Situation at the Front

We remind you that, according to the General Staff, in the past day, February 2, there were 97 clashes at the front. The most battles were recorded in the Pokrovsk direction.

We also reported that since the beginning of the full-scale war, Russia has lost over 841,000 soldiers. Just in the past day, the enemy's losses amounted to about 1,300 personnel.
