As a result of inspections, over 200 employees of state institutions have lost their disability status. Among them are customs, tax, and prosecution staff.
According to RBK-Ukraine, this was reported by the advisor to the head of the State Bureau of Investigations on communications issues, Tatyana Sapyian, during a telethon.
"I can say that based on the inspections and the investigation of all circumstances regarding who and how acquired disability, today more than 200 employees of state institutions have completely lost their disability status. These include workers from customs, tax, prosecution, as well as other law enforcement agencies," Sapyian stated.
She noted that over the past three months, there has been a decrease in disability groups, which has affected payments.
Recall that on December 30 of last year, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky signed a law that provides for the elimination of medical and social expert commissions. This law will take effect starting January 1.
According to the law, from January 1, 2025, expert commissions will operate in Ukrainian cluster and non-cluster hospitals, replacing MSEC. These commissions will conduct assessments based on the criteria of the International Classification of Functioning, Disability, and Health.
As reported by the head of the Ministry of Health, Viktor Lyashko, as of the end of 2024, nearly 200 people have lost their disability status.
RBK-Ukraine wrote about how the rules for obtaining disability have changed since January.
