Law enforcement officers apprehended 300 individuals for violating curfew on New Year's Eve.
This was reported by RBK-Ukraine, referencing Anatoliy Seredynskiy, the deputy head of the National Police's Department of Preventive Activity, during a telethon.
According to Seredynskiy, law enforcement received approximately 35 reports related to New Year’s events, including disorderly conduct and domestic conflicts.
In particular, there were around 25 reports related to the use of pyrotechnics and one criminal case.
Seredynskiy explained that 35 reports of offenses represent a "low figure," and overall, Ukrainians approached the New Year celebrations with a sense of responsibility.
"300 individuals were brought to police stations by the National Police for violating the curfew. Preventive conversations were held with them, and they were checked for any involvement in sabotage activities, although this was not confirmed. Therefore, this is also considered quite a low figure," noted the law enforcement officer.
In Ukraine, a curfew has been implemented since the onset of the full-scale war to ensure the safety of the population and maintain public order. This, in turn, helps to reduce the risks of sabotage and restrict the movement of enemy agents.
Yesterday, on December 31, 2024, the head of the National Police's Department of Preventive Activity, Maksym Akhrameev, warned that law enforcement would respond to instances of curfew violations on New Year's Eve.
