Scandal in the 211th Brigade

Recall that recently, journalists from UP published an investigation revealing corruption and abuses within the 211th pontoon-bridge brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, which is stationed in the Ternopil region.

It was noted that the brigade's leadership physically assaulted soldiers, demanded money, and threatened to send them "to the meat grinder." Footage surfaced online showing one of the soldiers being tied to a wooden cross. Journalists reported that the godson of brigade commander Oleg Poberezhnyuk was involved in the abuse.

The General Staff initiated an inspection of the 211th brigade following media reports. The Main Inspection of the Ministry of Defense was also sent to the brigade.

The commander of the 211th brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Oleg Poberezhnyuk, has been officially charged with abusing his official position with severe consequences. According to the investigation, he involved subordinates in the construction of his own house, but the documents falsely indicated that they were sent to a combat zone in the Mykolaiv region.
