Russian drones of the "Shahed" type attacked the Cherkasy region during the night of December 16. Fourteen enemy drones were shot down there.
According to RBK-Ukraine, this was reported by the head of the Cherkasy regional military administration, Igor Taburets, on his Telegram channel.
Taburets stated that the night in the region was relatively calm. However, in the morning, another wave of enemy aerial attacks began.
He noted that as a result of air defense operations, 14 enemy drones were destroyed. Fortunately, there were no casualties. However, debris from the Russian drones damaged power lines. Repair crews are already on-site.
Recall that near the city of Cherkasy, in the early morning of December 16, explosions were heard against the backdrop of the work of air defense forces due to the enemy's attack using "Shaheds."
On the evening of December 15, an air alert was declared in several regions of Ukraine due to the threat of attacks from Russian strike drones of the "Shahed" type. According to reports, enemy drones entered the country's airspace from the northern direction.
After midnight, the alert was lifted, but subsequently, the "Shaheds" began to maneuver over various regions again. Several groups of these drones were observed over eight regions of Ukraine.
