Russian military forces executed two Ukrainian soldiers. This incident took place near Selidovo.
This information was reported by RBK-Ukraine citing the Office of the Prosecutor General.
According to the prosecutor's office, this occurred on October 18, 2024, at 14:38. At that time, Russian troops captured two Ukrainian servicemen in the Pokrovsk region.
The occupiers, who were storming a wooded area near Selidovo, laid the unarmed prisoners face down on the ground. They held them in this position, pressing them down with their feet, and after a while, shot them at close range with automatic weapons.
"The murder of prisoners of war is a gross violation of the Geneva Conventions and is classified as a serious international crime," the prosecutor's office reminded.
Recently, a video surfaced online showing Russian occupiers executing 16 Ukrainian prisoners of war simultaneously.
Later, the prosecutor's office reported that this occurred in the Pokrovsk direction. Prosecutor General Andriy Kostin noted that this is the largest execution since the start of the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
We reported that Ukraine has established new details about the execution.
