In Kharkiv, explosions occurred on the night of February 17. Russian invaders launched a drone strike on the city.
This information was reported by RBK-Ukraine citing the Mayor of Kharkiv Igor Terekhov.
The explosion in the Kharkiv area was heard around 01:20.
According to the mayor, the Saltivskyi district of Kharkiv was hit by an enemy air attack.
"An explosion was heard in Kharkiv. Preliminary reports indicate that a Shahed-type UAV attacked the Saltivskyi district of the city," Terekhov stated in a post on Telegram.
He also added that details regarding the drone attack on Kharkiv are being clarified.
Furthermore, according to Terekhov, two individuals in the Kholodna Hirka district experienced acute stress reactions.
Terekhov reported that a hit from an enemy Shahed UAV was recorded in the Kholodna Hirka district on private property.
As a result of the strike, a residential building was damaged.
Information about the injured is being clarified. Emergency services are working at the scene.
Later, Terekhov mentioned that in the Saltivskyi district of Kharkiv, the drone strike, according to preliminary data, occurred near an administrative building.
"As of now, there are no casualties. In the administrative buildings and nearby houses, some windows are shattered. The situation is being clarified," the mayor informed.
The mayor of Kharkiv also noted that three individuals in the Kholodna Hirka district have sought medical assistance due to acute stress reactions.
According to the Kharkiv Regional Police, hits were recorded in the Saltivskyi and Kholodna Hirka districts of Kharkiv due to the attack by Russian drones.
"On February 17, around 1:20, two explosions were heard in Kharkiv. As a result of the hit in the Saltivskyi district, windows of a house were damaged. In the Kholodna Hirka district, a Shahed hit a private sector. There is a fire in an outbuilding. Residential houses were damaged. Three women experienced acute stress reactions," they reported.
It was also noted that investigative teams, rescuers, and medical personnel have arrived at the impact sites.
"Criminal proceedings have been initiated for war crimes under Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine," the police added.
As previously reported, on the evening of February 16, Russian invaders launched strike drones towards Ukraine for an air attack. Enemy UAVs approached from northern and southern directions.
Additionally, the air forces warned on Sunday evening of a ballistic threat. Launches of guided aerial bombs by the enemy were also recorded in the Sumy region.
By around half past midnight, explosions were heard in Kyiv against the backdrop of the drone attack, and local authorities reported on the operation of air defense both in the capital and in the Kyiv region.
Moreover, during the night, the Air Forces warned of a missile attack threat from Russian invaders for the Zaporizhzhia region.
