The Russian factory "Kremniy El" in Bryansk has announced a halt in operations following a drone attack. It manufactures components for the "Pantsir" air defense systems and "Iskander" missile complexes.
This information was reported by RBK-Ukraine citing the factory's press service.
According to representatives of the factory, the attack resulted in damage to both production and administrative buildings. This has caused disruptions in power supply, damage to energy infrastructure, and a break in technological production chains.
Oleg Dantsev, the CEO of "Kremniy El Group," stated that the "primary task now is to resume the production of electronic equipment as soon as possible." He mentioned that an assessment is currently being conducted to evaluate the possibility of restoring the damaged facilities.
"However, not everything is in our control – there are difficulties in purchasing spare parts for the restoration of technological equipment and energy infrastructure," he said.
"Kremniy El" is one of the largest Russian enterprises in microelectronics production. It manufactures components for military equipment, including new radar systems for air defense, aircraft, and ships. The factory is located more than 100 km from the border.
It is worth noting that "Kremniy El" has been attacked by drones on multiple occasions. Specifically, in August of last year, a massive fire broke out at the Kremniy El factory following a drone strike. It was also attacked on September 7, 2023, and in June 2024.
The most recent attack on the factory was recorded on the night of October 19. For more details, read the article from RBK-Ukraine.
