On the morning of Tuesday, January 21, the Russian army launched a drone strike on the city of Kharkiv. The consequences of the strike are currently being assessed.
This information is reported by RBK-Ukraine citing the city's mayor Igor Terekhov.
"There is preliminary information about a strike on the city by a UAV in the Shevchenkivskyi district, likely a 'Molniya'. We are currently clarifying the location of the strike and its consequences," Terekhov wrote on Telegram.

Terekhov specified that the strike hit an area with dense residential buildings.
"Preliminary reports indicate a garage was destroyed, several cars were damaged, and windows in nearby homes were shattered. According to the information available at this time, there are no injuries," he reported.

At the same time, the chairman of the Kharkiv Regional State Administration, Oleg Synegubov, stated that the strike on the city was carried out by a "Shahed".
"As a result of the UAV attack of the 'Shahed' type, garages were damaged, one was destroyed, one car was damaged, and windows of a dormitory were broken," - he wrote.

Terekhov reported that one person sought medical assistance due to an acute stress reaction.
The city of Kharkiv has been under constant enemy shelling since the beginning of the full-scale invasion. Russian forces are attacking the city with missiles, aerial bombs, and drones.
Earlier, we reported that Russians attacked Kharkiv with a 'Molniya' drone on January 9. At that time, the strike targeted a civilian enterprise in the Nemishliansky district of Kharkiv.
