On the night of Wednesday, February 26, the Russian army launched 177 strike drones of the Shahed type over the territory of Ukraine. Air defense forces operated in 10 regions.

According to the Air Forces, on the night of February 26, 2025, starting from 19:00 on February 25, the enemy attacked Ukraine with 177 strike drones of the Shahed type and imitation drones.

The air assault was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units, and mobile fire groups of the Air Forces and Defense Forces of Ukraine.
As of 09:00, the downing of 110 Shahed-type strike drones and drones of other types has been confirmed in Kharkiv, Poltava, Sumy, Kyiv, Chernihiv, Cherkasy, Kirovohrad, Mykolaiv, Kherson, and Dnipropetrovsk regions.
Additionally, 66 enemy imitation drones were locally lost without negative consequences. As a result of the enemy attack, the Kyiv, Kharkiv, Kirovohrad, and Sumy regions were affected.
It is worth noting that the evening before, Russian occupiers launched strike drones against Ukraine, and due to the threat of "Shahed" attacks, an alert was declared in several regions.
Reports indicated the operation of air defense in several areas of Kyiv due to enemy kamikaze drones. "Shaheds" were also shot down in the Kyiv region. It later became known that in the Bucha district, a Russian strike drone hit a residential building. A fire broke out at the incident site. At that time, information indicated that a 19-year-old girl was injured in the same area as a result of the attack.
Furthermore, Russian strike drones also attacked Kharkiv, where there were "arrivals" in two districts. One of the kamikaze drones hit a multi-story building, and it is already known that two people were injured.
