Russia launched missile and drone attacks on Ukraine during the day: here's how the air defense system responded.

The Russian Federation launched strikes on Ukrainian territory again on Friday, January 3. The enemy used missiles and drones.

This was reported by RBK-Ukraine citing the Air Forces.

According to the Air Forces, today, from 12:00 to 20:00, the enemy carried out missile strikes of various types:

• 5 surface-to-air guided missiles S-300 against the Kursk region;
• 3 ballistic missiles "Iskander-M" targeting the Chernihiv region;
• three guided air-to-surface missiles X-59/69 aimed at the Dnipropetrovsk region.

Additionally, they attacked with 32 strike drones of the Shahed type and various types of imitation drones from the northeastern direction.

As of 20:00, three missiles and 13 enemy drones were shot down. Another 19 drones were reported as location-lost.

Earlier, we reported that today, several times, air alerts were declared in several regions of Ukraine. In particular, the Air Forces warned of a ballistic strike threat.

During this time, the Russian army launched a missile strike on the city of Chernihiv. There is already information about one casualty and injuries.

Additionally, enemy drones attacked the Kyiv region. As a result of air defense operations, Russian drones were shot down. However, it is also known that there was one injured person.
