As a result of the accident involving Russian oil tankers in the Kerch Strait, oil slicks have been spotted near Crimea. Satellite images have emerged online.
This was reported by RBK-Ukraine referencing the Telegram channel "Crimean Wind".
The published images show a significant number of oil slicks in the sea off the coast of Kerch.
It is noted that the radar-range images were captured last night. They reveal dozens of oil slicks located several kilometers from the shore.
A week ago, due to a severe storm, two Russian tankers "Volgoneft-212" and "Volgoneft-239" sank in the Kerch Strait. The waves nearly split them in half.
Days later, it became known that another tanker crashed near the port of "Kavkaz" in the Black Sea. Reports indicated an oil leak. Information surfaced about pollution along the coast of the Krasnodar region.
