In Kyiv today, January 9, a hot water pipe burst near the Central Station. More than 200 homes have been left without heating.
This was reported by RBK-Ukraine citing "Kyivteploenergo" on Telegram.
The company noted that work is ongoing to repair the damage to the heating main at the intersection of Zhylianska and Symon Petliura streets. Eleven pieces of equipment are being used, with over 30 employees from "Kyivteploenergo" involved in the effort.

"Currently, heating has been temporarily shut off in more than 230 homes. Within a day, the energy workers will restore service to all buildings except for six, which will be heated using mobile boiler units until full heating supply is resumed," the "Kyivteploenergo" added.
They also clarified that as a result of the incident, a hostel and an administrative building were damaged. Specialists are assessing the nature of the damages, after which a decision will be made regarding restoration.
Recall that the pipe burst in Kyiv became known this evening.
Videos circulated online showing that pieces of asphalt were scattered across the road as a result of the burst.
In this context, the movement of buses and trolleybuses heading towards the Central Station has been delayed.
