Warnings of snow and icy conditions have been issued. Inclement weather is expected in Kyiv today.

Today and tomorrow, February 14 and 15, respectively, Kyiv is expecting inclement weather. Meteorologists are warning about snow and ice.

This information was reported by RBK-Ukraine citing the Telegram channel of the Kyiv City State Administration (KCSA).

According to the forecast from the Ukrhydrometcenter, on February 14, in the evening and the following day, Kyiv is expected to see a snow cover of 3-5 cm, with possible icing on the roads.

To manage the surface and clear the snow, "Kyivavtodor" has prepared:

• 553 units of specialized and auxiliary equipment;
• 35 thousand tons of salt;
• 40 thousand tons of sand.

"We ask drivers to be as cautious as possible on the roads, maintain a safe distance, and pedestrians to be careful and wear reflectors in the dark," the KCSA states.

Tips for drivers during winter driving:

• maintain a safe speed and distance;
• use winter tires and check brakes;
• avoid sharp maneuvers and braking;
• turn on low beam and fog lights;
• keep a shovel, towing rope, and warm clothing in the car.
