Weather conditions restrict the use of Russian aviation, which benefits the Ukrainian Armed Forces near Pokrovsk, according to Estonian intelligence.

Russian forces have advanced in the Pokrovsk-Kurakhove direction, while Ukrainian defense forces launched a counterattack in the Kupiansk area.
Эстонская разведка сообщает, что неблагоприятные погодные условия сдерживают авиацию России, что помогает ВСУ в районе Покровска.

Russian troops have advanced in the Pokrovsk-Kurakhove direction. Meanwhile, the Ukrainian Defense Forces have launched a counterattack in the Kupiansk direction.

This information is reported by RBK-Ukraine citing an overview from Estonian intelligence, as referenced by ERR.

The agency noted that the Pokrovsk-Kurakhove direction remains a key focus for the Russians. They have made progress there due to infantry assaults.

Estonian intelligence pointed out that approximately 3,000 people have died in just two weeks in the Pokrovsk direction. Estimates suggest these figures continue to rise as the situation approaches Pokrovsk.

At the same time, the Armed Forces of Ukraine have successfully repelled Russian attacks along the Sukhyi Yaly River south of Kurakhove. Throughout the week, they have withstood assaults from Russia, which attempted to encircle this area from the north and south.

Additionally, Estonian intelligence noted that unfavorable weather conditions are somewhat advantageous for Ukrainian forces. The use of aviation and heavy equipment by the Russians is hampered, which in turn complicates the deployment of their full combat potential simultaneously.

Despite the slow progress of the Russian Federation in the Pokrovsk direction, they have not achieved the desired breakthrough at the operational level. Consequently, Russia is increasing pressure on Ukrainian troops stationed in the Kursk region.

The Armed Forces of Ukraine are also experiencing success in the Kupiansk direction, where two bridgeheads established during the crossing of the Oskil River have been destroyed. Ukraine continues to deliver systematic strikes against Russian military infrastructure deep within the country, utilizing weapons received from allies as well as its own developed systems.

Situation on the Front in the Pokrovsk Direction

It was previously reported that over 70,000 Russian soldiers are concentrated in this direction. Despite this, President Volodymyr Zelensky has announced additional reinforcement of defenses in this area.

Media sources have also indicated that the Russians may be preparing an offensive on Pokrovsk in the Donetsk region. This operation could be the culmination of the Russian offensive in this direction.

The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskiy, stated that for several months now, the Pokrovsk direction has remained one of the most challenging in the context of the confrontation with Russian occupiers. Russian losses there are consistently high.
