The suspect in the terrorist attack in Dnipro on December 14 has been given a measure of restraint. The 37-year-old man will remain in custody for two months.
This information was reported by RBK-Ukraine, citing the Telegram channel of the Office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine.
According to reports, the man has been notified of suspicion under part 3 of article 258 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (terrorist act resulting in death). The court has chosen to impose a measure of restraint in the form of detention without the right to bail for a period of 60 days.
Recall that on December 14, 2024, at 14:45, an explosion occurred near an administrative building in Dnipro, which turned out to be a terrorist act. As a result of the tragedy, one person died, and three others - including two police officers who were on duty - sustained serious injuries.
The following day, law enforcement apprehended a 37-year-old man suspected of involvement in the explosion. According to information provided by the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Prosecutor's Office, the suspicions were confirmed: the perpetrator planted an explosive device, which led to the tragic consequences.
The police and prosecution are working to establish the motives of the suspect and his possible connections to other criminal groups. The victims, including the police officers, are in the hospital receiving necessary medical care.
