Почему Украине не удается ликвидировать российские заводы по производству "Шахедов": пояснение от Буданова.

Ukraine faces challenges in destroying Russian factories that produce "Shaheds." Several factors contribute to this difficulty.

This was stated by the head of the GUR, Kyrylo Budanov, as reported by RBK-Ukraine citing "Novosti.LIVE".

According to him, one of the main factors is the considerable distance of such facilities. Another factor is the protection of these sites by powerful electronic warfare and air defense systems, as well as the need to breach the "first line of defense" that runs along our front.

Budanov also noted that these factories have a sufficiently large area, making it challenging for drones to achieve effective results.

"These are planar objects. Their linear dimensions are measured in kilometers, while a drone carries a relatively limited payload, meaning that drones are designed for targeting pinpoint objects. However, we need to destroy planar targets. This requires missiles, but our missiles do not currently have the range for such operations," the head of the GUR emphasized.

He also mentioned that the Russians are producing a substantial number of "Shaheds," but he could not disclose the exact figure.

What is "Alabuga"

It is worth noting that "Alabuga" is a special economic zone of an industrial-production type located in Tatarstan. It is situated 210 km from Kazan and 25 km from Naberezhnye Chelny.

In 2023, it became known that assembly of combat drones of the Shahed-136 type had begun at one of the factories within "Alabuga." Since then, serial production of strike drones under the designation "Geran" has been established at the facilities of "Alabuga."

Previously, it was reported that the enemy had begun using "Shaheds" with an increased warhead of up to 90 kg and shrapnel.

Russian "Shaheds" utilize thousands of foreign-made components. Ukraine continuously urges the global community to take all necessary measures to cut off such supplies.
