A 21-year-old traitor has been detained in the Odessa region, who was planning a terrorist attack near the administrative building of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) and a parked car nearby.

This was reported by RBK-Ukraine with reference to the Telegram channel of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU).

What Happened

The traitor turned out to be a 21-year-old resident of the frontline city of Konstantinovka in the Donetsk region, who was recruited by two representatives of Russian special services. Under their instructions, the girl was to arrive in the Odessa region and rent an apartment, where explosives were later made.

"The explosive device was based on plastic explosives, which she retrieved from a pre-prepared stash. Additionally, to achieve maximum damage, the agent packed it with nuts, and for remote detonation, she equipped it with a mobile phone," added the SBU.

The traitor was arrested immediately after planting the explosives.

What’s at Stake

According to part 2 of Article 258 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (terrorist act committed by a group of persons based on prior conspiracy), the girl faces 12 years in prison.

Recall that RBK-Ukraine reported on how, on December 14, an explosion occurred near the territorial recruitment center (TCK) in Dnipro, resulting in the death of a serviceman. A few hours later, law enforcement arrested the direct perpetrator of the crime - a 37-year-old local resident who was working for the Russian special services.
