The Russian offensive, particularly in the Donetsk region, is ongoing, but it is now being restrained by two factors.
Military expert Mikhail Zhirohov stated on Radio NV that the Russian authorities did not witness the anticipated chaos in the U.S. following the elections and are now reassessing their military strategies.
According to him, Russia was counting on political instability in the States, which could have allowed it to intensify its offensive. However, as the expert noted, "there was no chaos, and no civil war occurred."
"The Russian military leadership will now revise its offensive plans based on the current situation. They will likely seek one direction to concentrate their efforts in an attempt to achieve progress," the expert remarked.
"Currently, the Russian leadership will probably begin to adjust its plans and evaluate the reckless offensives of the past week," Zhirohov also stated.
Furthermore, the expert pointed out that Russia's offensive, particularly in the Donetsk region, continues to slow down due to two factors: the redeployment of fresh forces from the Kursk direction to Donbas and deteriorating weather conditions.
Earlier, the expert noted that the Russian occupiers decided to temporarily halt their offensive in the Pokrovsk direction. Nevertheless, despite this, the occupiers have not abandoned their intentions to find weak points in the Ukrainian Defense Forces at other sections of the front.
