In Sumy, two people were killed as a result of a Russian airstrike last night. Emergency services are currently working at the sites of the enemy strikes.
This information was reported by RBK-Ukraine citing the acting mayor of Sumy Artem Kobzar.
He mentioned that several powerful explosions were heard in Sumy on the night of November 22.
At the site of one of the explosions, the body of a deceased person was found.
"Emergency services, ambulances, and police are working at the scene," Kobzar added in a video.
Later, he reported that another person had died at the site of the second explosion in Sumy.
"A headquarters will be set up to manage the aftermath of the emergency situation," he noted, adding that the location will be announced later.
Furthermore, the acting mayor of Sumy stated that due to another threat of attack by "Shaheds," air defense operations are ongoing in the city. He urged local residents to stay away from windows.
As reported by the Sumy Regional Military Administration (Sumy OVA), Russian terrorists attacked a residential area in the city of Sumy with "Shaheds" last night.
"Preliminary reports indicate there are casualties. People are receiving necessary assistance, and emergency rescue operations are underway. The consequences of the attack by the Russians are being clarified," the administration stated.
Later, the OVA clarified that as a result of the attack by Russian troops on the residential area in Sumy, preliminary data indicates that 2 people died and 10 were injured to varying degrees.
"Emergency rescue operations are ongoing," the administration added.

According to the Sumy City Council, a headquarters for managing the aftermath of enemy drone strikes will begin operations at eight in the morning.
"Representatives of the headquarters will work at two locations: in schools No. 15 and No. 2. They will accept statements from victims regarding housing inspections and provide consultations on other issues," the city hall reported.
