Не дети богатых родителей: в полиции прокомментировали ситуацию с подростками, которые блокировали дороги в Киеве.

Teenagers recently involved in a scandal for "blocking" a road in central Kyiv had two pistols confiscated during searches. Additionally, it is false that the "bloggers" are children of wealthy parents.

This was reported by RBK-Ukraine, citing the spokesperson for the National Police of Ukraine, Yuliya Hirdvylis, during a live telethon.

Searches of the Teenagers

"Yes, during the searches of the two most active participants in this scandalous video, we seized two pistols. One is a traumatic weapon registered to one of the minor's parents. The other is a pneumatic weapon, which does not require a permit," Hirdvylis stated.

Specifically, the following items were confiscated:

  • ammunition;
  • airsoft grenade;
  • computer equipment;
  • mobile phones.

It remains unclear whether this weapon was featured in the controversial videos published by the minors.

The confiscated ammunition has been sent for expert examination to determine if it was live ammunition.

"Police Escort"

The spokesperson for the National Police refuted rumors that the police were escorting the teenagers.

"The teenagers were following this car, behind the police crew, specifically when they were heading to one of the calls with flashing lights, and it was presented as if they were being escorted by the police," she added.

Not Teenagers at the Wheel

According to Hirdvylis, another episode from the scandalous video was the celebration of one participant's birthday. The teenagers rented vehicles, with drivers being employees of a company, as confirmed by footage from surveillance cameras.

"It turned out that when they were near a store, a traffic jam formed, which they did not create, and it was simply unintentionally caused by the cars and drivers who were unaware that any filming was taking place on the street," the press secretary explained, adding that the traffic jam lasted only "a minute or two."

Not Children of the Wealthy

The information that the teenagers are children of affluent parents is largely untrue. The father of one of the teenagers is a former official and is now a pensioner.

"The other parents work in private businesses, educational institutions, or are civil servants. There is no confirmation of any significant wealth or claims that they are supposedly wealthy kids," Hirdvylis stated.

Details of the Case

Recently, a scandal erupted online involving teenagers who were listening to Russian music, blocking a road in central Kyiv, displaying weapons, and engaging in various other actions to create provocative content.

Later, law enforcement identified them. The "bloggers" turned out to be children aged 14 to 17. They, along with their parents, were invited to the police station.
