In the Ternopil region, a platoon commander has been exposed for awarding his subordinate "combat" pay for renovating his daughter’s house for nearly a year.
This was reported by RBK-Ukraine citing The State Bureau of Investigations.
According to the investigation, the commander utilized the subordinate serviceman for work on family-owned real estate while paying him "combat" allowances.
It was revealed that the servicemen of the unit were assigned tasks in the combat zone. In April 2023, the platoon commander proposed to the subordinate soldier not to go to the front lines, but to repair his daughter's house in the Ternopil region. In return, he promised to credit all combat bonuses to the soldier.

During this time, the soldier was unjustifiably credited and paid over 1 million UAH in financial support and allowances for supposedly participating in combat operations.
Earlier, RBK-Ukraine reported that a former brigade commander of one of the Territorial Defense Forces organized increased payments for his wife for participation in combat operations. According to RBK-Ukraine, this refers to Gerasimenko Dmitry Dmitrievich, who held the position of commander of the 108th separate brigade.
Additionally, SBI has exposed 120 officials over the year, suspected of creating schemes for the illegal transportation of conscripts abroad. Most often, the subjects of investigations were employees of the TCC, MSEC, doctors, and law enforcement officers.
