In Kyiv, a man stole an iPhone from a " Nova Poshta " branch and later robbed a pawnshop.
This is stated in a verdict published on the Open Data Bot portal.
The incidents occurred in the Svyatoshynskyi district of Kyiv. Initially, the man entered the "Nova Poshta" branch, where he wanted to inspect a package containing an iPhone 14 Pro 512 GB valued at 65,078 hryvnias. Since there were no other customers in the branch, the man decided to seize the moment and steal the mobile device. He took the phone and fled the scene.
Several months later, the suspect committed a second theft. In the "Garant" pawnshop, he requested to inspect a Samsung Galaxy A52, priced at 12,599 hryvnias, under the pretext of making a purchase. Waiting for the moment when the saleswoman was distracted, the man left the pawnshop with the phone.
During the court hearing, the accused admitted his guilt and explained that he resorted to crime due to his difficult financial situation and expressed remorse for his actions.
As a result of the proceedings, the court found the man guilty and sentenced him to seven years and six months in prison.
Previously, Politeka also wrote about a man who received a summons but did not attend the TCC due to dental issues.
However, the dentist confirmed that during their conversation, there were no discussions of insults, and the chairperson of the VLK noted that the man had no grounds for a deferment.
