Moldova condemned the violation of its airspace by a drone during Russia's attack on Ukraine.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Moldova condemned the incident involving a drone violating the country's airspace, which entered from Ukraine on February 3 during another Russian attack.

This was reported by RBK-Ukraine citing Newsmaker.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned the incident and stated that such actions pose a potential threat to national security and the citizens of Moldova.

"The Moldovan authorities are analyzing the circumstances of the incident and are engaged in active dialogue with international partners to prevent similar situations and enhance the security of the airspace," the ministry said.

It is worth noting that on the night of Monday, February 3, an unidentified drone violated Moldova's airspace. The drone flew over several populated areas of the country.

"At night, an unmanned aerial vehicle violated the airspace of the Republic of Moldova," the statement said.

Violation of Airspace During Attacks on Ukraine

It should be recalled that this is not the first instance since the beginning of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine where Russian drones have violated the airspace of other countries.

In particular, on November 10, two drones were detected in Moldova, which entered during another Russian attack. At that time, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Moldova also condemned Russia's actions.

Moreover, in December 2024, a passerby discovered a drone near one of the shopping centers in the capital of Moldova - Chișinău.
