МИД Украины решительно ответил на обвинения Венгрии о якобы "дискредитационной кампании".

Ukraine rejects any accusations from Hungary regarding a "discrediting campaign." Nothing discredits Budapest more than its own actions.

This was reported by RBK-Ukraine citing the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) of Ukraine.

"Ukraine has never conducted and will not conduct any such campaigns against partners, particularly against neighboring Hungary. Furthermore, it does not intend to interfere in the internal affairs of other countries," the MFA stated.

It was noted that the corresponding statement was also conveyed to the Deputy Minister - Parliamentary State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Economic Affairs and Foreign Affairs of Hungary, Levente Madjar. The ministry added that the main purpose of Madjar's visit was to film a provocative video in the center of the Ukrainian capital containing manipulative statements and discrediting the leadership of Ukraine.

"Nothing discredits Hungarian officials more than their own actions. As noted during the meeting, such actions by Hungarian officials can solely serve the interests of the Russian Federation, which seeks to sow discord," the ministry emphasized.

"Discrediting Campaign"

On February 4, the head of the parliamentary faction of Hungary's ruling party "Fidesz," Mate Kocsis, stated that Hungarian intelligence has information about an allegedly organized campaign aimed at discrediting the government of the country and Prime Minister Viktor Orban.

According to him, the goal of this so-called information operation is to spread materials containing false information in the media. He also claims that Ukraine is allegedly behind this campaign.

Additionally, we should mention that Hungary is the only neighboring EU country that Ukrainians consider hostile. This sentiment is due to the pro-Russian stance of Hungarian Prime Minister Orban, who blocks assistance to Kyiv.
