МИД заявил о запуске новой ракеты в КНДР: Пхеньян действует с поддержкой московского режима.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine condemned the provocative missile launch by North Korea. Ukraine expresses solidarity with Japan and South Korea.

This was reported by RBK-Ukraine citing the spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) of Ukraine, Georgiy Tikhiy, on Twitter.

"We remind that Pyongyang acts with the support of the Moscow regime. Restraint requires decisive collective actions," Tikhiy wrote.

It is worth noting that the European Union also condemned the launch of a new missile in North Korea.

What preceded it

Recently, media reported that North Korea allegedly conducted a successful test of a new hypersonic ballistic missile of medium range on Monday. The launch was attended by North Korean leader Kim Jong Un.

Interestingly, the test was conducted during the visit of U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken to South Korea.

Cooperation between Russia and North Korea

Cooperation between North Korea and the Russian Federation has significantly intensified since the onset of Russia's full-scale war against Ukraine. Both countries have strengthened diplomatic contacts and military-technical cooperation amidst international isolation and increasing sanctions from the West. North Korea provides Russia with artillery ammunition and other weapons necessary for Moscow to continue the war in Ukraine. In return, the Kremlin offers political support to Pyongyang, as well as assistance in developing nuclear and missile programs.

In addition to military cooperation, the countries are exploring opportunities for economic partnership. Russia is interested in attracting North Korean workers to rebuild war-torn areas, while North Korea seeks food and energy assistance. This cooperation raises concerns within the international community, as both countries continue to violate international sanctions and create new threats to global security.
