The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has released a video from the site of the Russian attack on a boarding school in Sudzha, Kursk region. According to their statement, the Russian troops carried out a targeted strike.
This information comes from RBK-Ukraine, citing the Telegram channel of the Ukrainian General Staff.
It is reported that Russian aviation executed a targeted strike using a guided aerial bomb (GAB).
"At the time of the attack, dozens of local residents were inside the building preparing for evacuation. The Russian side was aware that only civilians—local residents, including women and children—were present in the boarding school," the General Staff emphasized.
All possible measures are being taken to rescue survivors. A video showing the aftermath of the Russian attack has also been released.
Furthermore, it is highlighted that the strike on the boarding school in Sudzha represents yet another war crime committed by the Russian authorities against the civilian population.
"The Russian army terrorizes Ukrainian cities daily with missile and drone strikes, destroying residential buildings, schools, and hospitals. Now, they have begun to deliberately kill their own peaceful citizens," the General Staff added.
Recall that it was reported today that as a result of the strike on the boarding school building in Sudzha, nearly 100 people are trapped under the rubble.
According to the spokesperson for the Ukrainian military command, Alexey Dmitrashkovsky, moans and cries of people can be heard from beneath the debris. The command's forces are currently conducting search and rescue operations.
