The Israeli airline El Al has suspended flights from Tel Aviv to Moscow until the end of March 2025. This decision was made after assessing the situation and the plane crash involving Azerbaijan Airlines in Kazakhstan.

This information was reported by RBK-Ukraine referencing The Times of Israel.

"Following a thorough assessment of the situation, El Al is suspending all its flights on the Tel Aviv - Moscow route until the end of the winter schedule," the publication quotes the company's statement.

It is worth noting that initially, on December 26, the airline suspended flights to Russia for a week. This decision was made following the aviation disaster in Kazakhstan.

Aviation Disaster in Kazakhstan

On the morning of December 25, a passenger plane, an Embraer 190 belonging to AZAL, crashed in Kazakhstan. At the time of the accident, there were 67 people on board, and 38 people died in the crash.

It is already known that the plane was en route from Baku to Grozny. According to media reports, the aircraft may have been shot down in Grozny, where drones had previously been downed, which prevented it from landing. As a result, the Embraer 190 fell in the area of the city of Aktau. As reported by Euronews, Azerbaijan confirmed that a Russian missile was the cause of the aviation disaster.

However, Russia still does not acknowledge that it shot down a passenger plane and is attempting to evade responsibility.
