On Tuesday, February 11, hackers targeted "Poltavaoblenergo." This resulted in a significant disruption of the city's heating supply.

This information is reported by RBK-Ukraine citing "Poltavaoblenergo."

The company stated that this morning, due to the cyber incident, communication was lost with the dispatch service and 56 boiler houses of "Poltavateploenergo." As a result, 14 of them stopped operating.

"Immediately after this, all responsible services of the enterprise were engaged in manually restarting the boiler houses. The duration of the downtime does not exceed the permissible limits of the technological process," the statement reads.

Currently, all boiler houses are providing services to consumers. Work is also ongoing to update the software and restore communication with the dispatch service.

The work is expected to be completed by the end of the day.

Night Attack on Poltava Region

It is worth noting that last night, the Russian army launched another strike on Ukraine. The Poltava region was under fire. As a result of the missile attack, 9 settlements in the Myrhorod district were left without gas supply.

It later became known that “Naftogaz” facilities were also targeted.

According to Yuriy Ignat, head of the communications department of the Air Force Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, in a comment to RBK-Ukraine, he stated that during the nighttime combined enemy attack, almost all missiles flew over Poltava region.
