In 2025, the Russian Federation plans to produce around 3,000 long-range missiles. Russia recognizes that it is ahead of Europe in the production of weapons.
According to RBK-Ukraine, this was stated by the head of the Foreign Intelligence Service, Oleg Ivashchenko, during the "Ukraine. Year 2025" Forum.
He noted that it is currently known that the plans of the Russian Federation for the production of weapons and ammunition this year include the manufacture of over 7 million artillery shells and large-caliber mines.
"In this area, Russia is clearly competing and understands that it produces them much more and faster than all the countries of Europe combined. The production of ammunition and long-range missiles is expected to reach around 3,000 this year. These are the means that destroy our infrastructure every day," Ivashchenko said.
Russian occupiers have intensified missile and drone attacks on Ukraine, using foreign components in the production of weapons. In missiles, particularly the "Kinzhal" and X-101, components of foreign origin have been repeatedly found, including from companies in Ukraine's allied countries. In March, President Zelensky reported that at least 49 such components were found in the "Kinzhal."
We also reported that Russia has begun developing a new missile for its own Kornet anti-tank complex. The new development shares many common characteristics with the Ukrainian anti-tank missile system "Corsar."
According to Ukrainian intelligence, as of the end of December 2024, Russia's arsenal of long-range missiles currently totals up to 1,400 units of various types.
It is worth noting that on the night of February 23, Russia launched a record number of drones at Ukraine - 267 units.
