The head of the Anti-Terrorist Center of the SBU, Dmitry Kozyura, has been placed under custody as a preventive measure.

This was reported by RBK-Ukraine citing "Suspilne."

On Thursday, February 13, the court decided on a preventive measure for SBU official Dmitry Kozyura, who is suspected of collaborating with the Russian Federation. The prosecutor requested to close the case proceedings, but the judge kept the session open and asked the prosecutor to refrain from disclosing information if it contained state secrets.

The court has imposed a preventive measure of detention without bail on Kozyura for two months, until April 11, 2025.

The prosecutor reported that through the Signal messenger, Kozyura had transmitted information about the consequences of missile strikes to the FSB twice. Another recorded incident involved the transfer of information containing state secrets.

The suspect confessed to working with the FSB since 2018 and continued his collaboration after the full-scale invasion by Russia. The defendant's lawyer stated that Kozyura is cooperating with the investigation and has provided incriminating testimony against himself.

Exposing the "rat" in the SBU

Recall that yesterday, February 12, SBU announced the exposure of a "rat" within its ranks. The traitor turned out to be the head of the Anti-Terrorist Center at the SBU, Colonel Dmitry Kozyura.

He was personally detained by the head of the SBU, Vasily Malyuk. The suspect is believed to have collaborated with Russia. As noted by the SBU, the official was recruited back in 2018.

According to the investigation, the Russians were interested in secret information regarding the armament of the Ukrainian Security and Defense Forces. The enemy sought to learn about the status of critical infrastructure facilities, the results of missile attacks, data on the top military-political leadership, and the operation of state registries following a cyberattack.
