The High Anti-Corruption Court has extended the preventive measure for the head of the Khmelnytsky Regional Medical and Social Expert Commission, Tatiana Krupa. She remains in custody with the possibility of being released on bail.

This was reported by RBK-Ukraine, citing the press service of VAKS.

On Thursday, January 23, the investigating judge of VAKS partially granted the request of the NABU detective and extended Krupa's preventive measure for another two months.

She will remain under arrest for at least 60 more days, that is, until March 23, 2025, inclusive.

At the same time, the investigating judge set a new bail amount. Now, the bail for Krupa is 260 million UAH. If the bail is posted, she will be able to leave the pre-trial detention center but will be required to appear at any request from the detective, prosecutor, investigating judge, or court.

The Krupa Case

Recall that in October 2024, the State Bureau of Investigation reported the exposure of the head of the Khmelnytsky Regional Medical and Social Expert Commission, Tatiana Krupa, and her son for illegal enrichment. During the searches, they found nearly 6 million dollars in cash in various currencies.

The Pechersk District Court of Kyiv chose a preventive measure for the official in the form of detention with the possibility of posting bail of 500 million UAH. Later, the Appellate Chamber of VAKS reduced the bail amount to 280 million UAH.

The exposure of Tatiana Krupa became a sensational case and initiated the uncovering of several other heads and officials of the Medical and Social Expert Commissions in various regions.

It turned out that under Krupa's scheme, 50 prosecutors from the Khmelnytsky region received fake disability status. Following the scandal, Andriy Kostin resigned from his position as the Attorney General of Ukraine.

As a result, Ukraine decided to eliminate the Medical and Social Expert Commission system, replacing it with expert teams to determine and confirm disability.
