Another case involving MP Alexander Dubinsky has been sent to court. This pertains to the illegal transportation of a conscript abroad.
This information was reported by RBK-Ukraine citing the press service of the State Bureau of Investigations.
The investigators of the SBI have completed their inquiry concerning the sitting member of parliament and his former assistant. They are accused of organizing the illegal crossing of another individual across the Ukrainian border. The indictment has been submitted to the court.
The SBI has not disclosed the name of the MP. According to sources from RBK-Ukraine, the individual in question is Alexander Dubinsky.
The SBI, together with the SBU, uncovered the criminal scheme in November 2023. The MP, in collusion with his former assistant, who currently heads the public organization "Media Defense," facilitated the illegal exit of his civil wife's brother abroad in August 2022.
Dubinsky's partner's relative left Ukraine for Moldova by car through one of the checkpoints. They presented documents entered into the "Shlyakh" system as justification for crossing the state border – an excerpt from the Kyiv OVA's order for the departure of drivers providing transportation for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The permit was obtained at the request of the Vyshgorod RDA with the assistance of the MP and an organization affiliated with him. The "relative" subsequently secured employment on a foreign merchant vessel after crossing the border, did not carry out any transport for the needs of the Armed Forces, and returned to Ukraine at the end of 2022 after his contract ended.
During the investigation of this fact, law enforcement discovered that the man had also exploited the illegal scheme devised by the MP and his accomplice for a second time, after which he did not return to Ukraine. In 2023, the "relative" left for abroad as a volunteer driver using identical documents from the Kyiv OVA based on a request from the public organization.
It was also revealed that, under Dubinsky's direction, the individual was supposed to arrive in Chisinau and await further instructions for transporting the MP's personal luxury vehicle from the parking lot of the international airport in Moldova's capital to Vienna.
Dubinsky and the head of the public organization are accused of organizing the illegal transportation of individuals across the state border of Ukraine (Part 2, Article 332 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). They face imprisonment for up to seven years.
It is worth noting that MP Alexander Dubinsky is also accused of treason. According to the investigation, the controversial parliament member was part of a criminal organization established by the Russian intelligence service. The case has already been submitted to court.
Additionally, he is implicated in a case of official forgery. Dubinsky left Ukraine under the pretense of accompanying his father for medical treatment.
Moreover, an administrative offense related to corruption was initiated against Dubinsky. The court found him guilty, his lawyers filed an appeal, but the MP lost it.
