The Solomiansky District Court in Kyiv has chosen a preventive measure for former TV presenter of the sanctioned channels "Our" and NewsOne, Maksym Nazarov.
This is reported by RBK-Ukraine citing sources.
Nazarov has been assigned two months of detention with the possibility of posting a bail of 12.9 million hryvnias.
The defense requested house arrest or a personal obligation. Nazarov, for his part, stated during the court session that he has never "betrayed" Ukraine and has worked for the benefit of the country amid the full-scale war with the Russian Federation (RF).
The former TV presenter of the sanctioned channels "Our" and NewsOne is suspected of justifying Russian aggression against Ukraine.
On January 18, it became known that the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) conducted searches at Nazarov's premises. It was noted that amid the full-scale war, he continued to invite pro-Kremlin experts to his YouTube broadcasts. In particular, during interviews, both the guests and the author himself repeatedly attempted to justify the war crimes of the occupiers.
A frequent guest on Nazarov's show was a pro-Kremlin blogger, who was announced as a suspect in February 2024. According to sources from RBK-Ukraine, this refers to Dmytro Korniychuk.
