Forecaster Natalia Didenko informed Ukrainians about rain and the possibility of frost on October 16, and in some regions, the temperature may drop to -3 °C.
Didenko reported this on her Telegram channel.
Weather forecast for October 16: In the western regions, nighttime frosts are expected with temperatures ranging from 0 to -3°C, while during the day, the air will warm up to +9...+12°C. In Transcarpathia, it will be warmer – up to +16 °C. No precipitation is forecasted.
In the northern part of the country, rain is expected, with temperatures fluctuating between +8...+11 °C. In the central regions, rain will also occur in some areas, with daytime temperatures around +9...+13°C.
In the east, precipitation is anticipated, with temperatures rising to +14 °C. In the southern regions of the country, heavy rains will occur, but temperatures will remain high at +11...+16 °C.
Forecast for Kyiv: overcast with possible rain. Nighttime temperatures will be around +3...+4°C, and during the day, approximately +10°C.
Didenko noted that frosts at night are mainly expected in the west of the country, while other regions will be covered with clouds, which will mitigate the cooling. However, from October 17 to 20, frosts may affect a larger part of Ukraine.
Previously, Politeka also reported that cooler autumn temperatures give newly planted trees and shrubs a better chance to develop a healthier root system faster than those planted in the hotter months.
