The Sicheslav paratroopers have taken control of the settlement of Kotlino, located near Pokrovsk. The Armed Forces of Ukraine pushed the enemy out of the village and prevented them from establishing a foothold.

This was reported by RBK-Ukraine citing the Telegram channel of the Airborne Assault Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

During the assault recovery operations, paratroopers from the 25th Separate Airborne Sicheslav Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine cleared the settlement of Kotlino, which is near Pokrovsk.

Military officials note that capturing this settlement would have allowed the occupiers to access the Pokrovsk-Dnipro highway, which is why the enemy committed significant forces to its capture.

"The Sicheslav paratroopers and adjacent units did not allow the Russians to establish a foothold in Kotlino and pushed the occupiers beyond its borders," the video caption reads.

Fights for Pokrovsk

Currently, Pokrovsk has become a primary target for the Russians, with the occupiers attempting to break through the defenses there daily. This area is now one of the most challenging segments of the front.

According to Viktor Tregubov, a representative of the operational-strategic group of troops "Khortytsia," the Russians have changed their offensive tactics in Pokrovsk. Instead of attacking the city head-on, they are now trying to encircle it.

It should be noted that as of early January, it was reported that about 7,300 civilians still remained in Pokrovsk.
