Law enforcement officials have exposed a Kyiv City State Administration employee for obtaining a fraudulent disability status. He not only evaded military service but also collected benefits.
This information was reported by RBK-Ukraine citing the press center of the Security Service of Ukraine.
According to sources from RBK-Ukraine, this concerns Ruslan Svetly, the director of the Department of Social and Veteran Policy of the Kyiv City State Administration.
The investigation revealed that in 2022, the individual submitted fake medical certificates regarding a diagnosis to one of the district MSEKs in Kyiv, which did not reflect the truth. He also provided counterfeit extracts from his medical records that supposedly confirmed his hospitalization.
The official unjustifiably received a 2nd group disability status, which not only provided him with an exemption from military service but also allowed him to receive disability benefits.
As noted by the SBU, the official has accrued nearly 300,000 hryvnias in social support as a person with a disability.
Svetly has been charged under the following articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine:

Recall that in early October, the head of the Khmelnytskyi regional MSEK, Tatyana Krupa, and her son were exposed for illegal enrichment. It was revealed that under Krupa's scheme, nearly 50 prosecutors from the Khmelnytskyi region received disability status.
Amid the scandal, the chief prosecutor of the Khmelnytskyi region was dismissed. Additionally, the General Prosecutor of Ukraine, Andriy Kostin, was also dismissed.
In Ukraine, a decision was made to abolish the MSEK and reform the disability registration system itself.
