This time, food blogger Natalia Zhuk decided to share how to prepare a delicious seasonal pumpkin roll without any hassle.
This roll is made without complicated techniques: just 10-15 minutes in the oven, and you'll have a tender treat with a pleasantly sweet crust.
Ingredients:
- 500 g of pumpkin
- 1−2 tsp of sugar (optional)
- 1 tsp of cinnamon (optional)
- 4 eggs
- 50−80 g of sugar
- 1 tsp of vanilla sugar
- 120 g of flour
- 0.5 tsp of baking powder
Preparation:
Peel the pumpkin and grate it using a coarse grater. If desired, add 1−2 tsp of sugar and 1 tsp of cinnamon. Mix well.
Spread the grated pumpkin onto a baking tray lined with parchment paper, distributing it evenly. Place it in a preheated oven at 180 degrees Celsius for 7−10 minutes to soften the pumpkin slightly.
In a deep bowl, crack 4 eggs and add 50−80 g of sugar and 1 tsp of vanilla sugar. Beat the mixture with a mixer until it becomes a fluffy white mass.
Gradually add 120 g of flour and 0.5 tsp of baking powder, gently mixing until smooth. Pour the prepared batter over the slightly cooled pumpkin and spread it evenly.
Return it to the oven and bake for another 10−15 minutes until the roll is golden brown. After baking, carefully turn the roll onto a clean towel or paper and remove the parchment.
Roll the cake starting from one edge, ensuring the pumpkin is inside. Allow the roll to cool slightly, then dust the top with powdered sugar.
