In Ukraine, the right to a pension arises upon reaching the age of 60, with the amount of pension payments influenced by various factors depending on the length of insurance experience.
This was reported by the PFU.
There is a possibility that after the age of 65, Ukrainians may not receive a pension due to insufficient insurance experience. In such cases, the individual will only receive social assistance without any additional payments.
The requirements for insurance experience to qualify for a pension in Ukraine vary by age: at 60 years old – 31 years of experience; at 63 years old - 21 years of experience; at 65 years old - 15 years of experience.
Thus, an individual who has reached the age of 65 and has at least 15 years of experience will receive a pension along with all available supplements. If the experience is insufficient, they will be assigned a social pension.
A social pension is the difference between the minimum subsistence level for disabled individuals and the average monthly income per person in the family over the last six months. This payment cannot exceed 100% of the minimum subsistence level for working individuals, which amounts to 3028 hryvnias.
