In Ternopil, following a nighttime airstrike by Russian occupiers targeting local energy infrastructure, efforts to restore electricity and water supply are ongoing. The city is also reopening heating points.
This information is reported by RBK-Ukraine referencing the Telegram channel of Ternopil's Mayor Serhiy Nadal.
It is noted that due to the enemy strike using kamikaze drones, the "electrical infrastructure that supplies Ternopil was damaged."
Additionally, elevators in apartment buildings will not operate until the electricity supply in the city is fully restored.
"We ask Ternopil residents not to use electricity in those buildings where it is available. There may be interruptions," the mayor of Ternopil noted.
The mayor points out that there might be low pressure. He added that generators will be activated in the city.
According to updated information, as of 7:00 AM, centralized water supply should be restored to all consumers in Ternopil.
It is also reported that individual heating points will be turned off, and heat will be supplied directly to homes.
Schools and kindergartens will operate as usual today.
"Those without centralized electricity supply will operate on generators," Nadal explained.
Medical facilities in Ternopil are functioning normally. It is noted that, if necessary, the facilities are equipped with generators.
Trolleybuses will temporarily not operate in Ternopil. Buses will replace them on the routes.
