On December 24, an explosion occurred at an explosives manufacturing plant in the village of Kavaklı, Turkey. It is already known that more than 10 people have died.

According to the governor of Balıkesir province, İsmail Ustaoglu, an explosion took place at the explosives factory in the village of Kavaklı. There are casualties and injuries as a result of the explosion. Many firefighting teams have been dispatched to the region.
Preliminary reports indicate that 12 people died in the explosion at the factory, while 3 others were injured. A rescue operation is also underway to determine how many more individuals might be trapped in the plant, as the building collapsed after the explosion.
At the same time, Ustaoglu stated that the possibility of sabotage has been ruled out and there is no risk of a new explosion. According to media reports, the explosion occurred in the capsule production workshop of Zsr Explosives.
