On the morning of Wednesday, January 15, a large fire broke out in the center of Kyiv. An electrical substation is ablaze.
This was reported by RBK-Ukraine citing the press service of KGGA.
According to KGGA, the fire occurred at a substation located on Khreshchatyk Street. It is noted that the relevant services are working at the scene.
A DTEK crew is expected on site to gain access for firefighting.
As of 08:10, there were no reports of injuries.

According to KGGA, the fire at the electrical substation on Khreshchatyk Street has been localized. However, residents of four residential buildings are temporarily without electricity.
"Specialists are working on restoration. Power is expected to be restored to consumers within approximately 4 hours," the statement says.
It is important to note that emergency power outages are currently in effect in several regions of Ukraine due to a large-scale missile attack by the Russian Federation.
