The North Korean troops stationed in Russia exhibit a clear lack of awareness regarding the threats posed by drones and artillery. They also refuse to surrender alive.

This information comes from RBK-Ukraine, citing Sky News.

According to the publication, North Koreans "would rather blow themselves up with grenades than risk being captured." It is also likely that the North Korean forces have temporarily withdrawn from the front lines in Russia after suffering heavy losses.

Specifically, Sky News journalists spoke with Ukrainian military personnel who believe that North Korean soldiers are either learning from mistakes made during their initial encounters with Ukrainian troops, tending to the wounded, or awaiting reinforcements.

"I think they will return soon," said a commander known by the call sign "Pulse."

The publication also notes that the North Korean troops are unaware of the threats from drones and artillery. This is evidenced by their assaults on foot, in groups of 20, 40, and even 60 individuals, making them easy targets.

Furthermore, North Korean soldiers are attempting to eliminate evidence of their presence from the combat zone by evacuating the wounded and deceased.

Due to poor coordination, the North Korean forces are encountering issues with the Russian army. One soldier claimed that radio intercepts indicated that the North Koreans accidentally targeted Russian positions.

Ukrainian military personnel noted that North Korean soldiers are better equipped than many Russians, including rifles and uniforms, but they only move on foot and use golf buggies to transport ammunition.

"They were all clean-shaven and impeccably groomed, like models. Every single one - no beards, unkempt hair, or baldness... It was also hard to determine their age. They looked to be between 25 and 35, possibly up to 40 years old," said "Pulse."

North Korea's Involvement in Russia's War Against Ukraine

North Korea continues to assist Russia in the war against Ukraine, initially supplying artillery shells and later sending more than 10,000 troops. According to intelligence, this year Pyongyang plans to deliver another 150 short-range ballistic missiles and additional howitzers.

It is worth noting that political technologist Taras Zagorodnyi assessed whether U.S. President Donald Trump could persuade North Korea to stop aiding Russia in the war. During his first term, Trump attempted to establish a rapport with North Korea and even met with Kim Jong-un.
